Campfire Program: "Where's It Bean?" Talk and Sea Heart Ornament-Making ️

Join us under the stars at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park for a fascinating evening around the campfire as we unravel the incredible journey of sea beans found in our coastal paradise. "Where's It Bean?" invites you to explore the mysteries of these ocean wanderers and get hands-on with a sea heart ornament-making craft.

Event Highlights:

Sea Bean Safari:

  • Discover the captivating journey of sea beans, seeds that embark on epic oceanic voyages before washing ashore. Learn about the unique stories behind these ocean wanderers and their role in coastal ecosystems.

Sea Heart Ornament-Making:

  • Get crafty under the moonlight! Join our sea heart ornament-making session, where you can create your own beach-inspired ornaments using sea beans. Supplies are limited, so be sure to secure your spot early.

Interactive Talk:

  • Engage in an interactive discussion about the various types of sea beans found in John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Understand their ecological significance and the role they play in the park's coastal biodiversity.

S'mores Delight:

  • Indulge in the timeless joy of s'mores! S'more kits will be available for a suggested donation of $5 per kit, providing the perfect sweet treat to enjoy by the campfire.
